The Lass O'Gowrie
The Lass O'Gowrie (www.thelass.co.uk) is a great pub located in the heart of Manchester. It's easy to reach by car, train or bus and won "Pub of the Year" at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival 2009 (www.foodanddrinkfestival.com).
As well as offering a range of great beers (including several real ales) and excellent food, The Lass is also well known to classic gaming fans!
It has lots of arcade machines on site including Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Phoenix, R-Type, Bomb Jack, Tiger Heli, NARC and Quartet.
The pub also hosts a monthly retro "Computer Club" (www.thelass.co.uk/whatson.php) and was the venue for 2009's Console Combat event (www.consolecombat.co.uk).
